  1. Anyone know where I can find a license plate holder (original or repro) for a 36? It appears to be pot metal and is attached on top of the left rear tail light. You can see where mine has been broken off. Thanks.
  2. Finally located a NOS release bearing. Wonder if I should soak in oil before installing?--looks like it's from the 1930s-40s.
  3. Many thanks for this. I did check with Kurt Kelsey but he doesn't have one (Is that @Kornkurt?). I'm not absolutely sure it's bad, but there were chips falling out of it and it was definitely overheated. I'll also check with Steve Kassis but was told by someone that the Chevy version is smaller. Also couldn't find anything about what oil to use on it in the manual other than the clip posted above. Thanks again.
  4. Does anyone have a source for the "carbon graphite" collar-mounted clutch release bearing for a 36 Deluxe 8? Attached is a photo of mine and text from the shop manual. Bob Graves doesn't have it. Mine looks like it has been overheated and is flaking apart. Also, was the bearing sold separately from the collar? Any modern substitute? Thanks in advance.
  5. I was able to make new brass tabs and solder them onto the rim where they had been broken off. The cover attaches easily now with a clockwise twist.
  6. Many thanks for this. Mine has a glass lens which is held on with no problem. The problem was that this lens would not attach to the bulb socket/reflector piece. Now I can see the problem. Mine is missing those 3 tabs (broken off I suppose) shown at the red arrows below. I'll make and solder on some new ones. Thanks again.
  7. My car has its original dome light and cover but I can't attach the cover to the receptacle. It appears that it's a bayonet type mount but I'm not sure. In the photos below it appears that tabs or something might have been broken off the rim of the cover. Does anyone have the same light who could post photos that would show these tabs? Thank you for your help.
  8. Does anyone have a good source for these? Also, any tips for removing exhaust manifold without breaking bolts? Thanks.
  9. Unfortunately Kurt didn't have any of the clutch components. A note from Bob Graves' family said he was in the hospital fighting for his life with covid and that was over a week ago. Let's hope and pray for the best. They're hoping he'll be back in business by mid-January.
  10. Thanks, will check out those sites; was hoping just to get rebuilt components. Can't believe Bob was the only source.
