I checked out several photos of the Meteor online and it is not the same. The Meteor...it looks like a chrome ring that also has screw holes. This is a flat, round plastic ring that is glued to the outside of the red lens, and it is painted silver on the inside surface. Still baffled. I want my info to be correct.

What does this look like it is off of? My friend thinks it's off a 50-something Ford...but he doesn't think it's a tail light. It has a silver-painted ring around it that is glued into place. The only identifying numbers on the very edge say "F57" and that is it. It's just under 8" in diameter. I make clocks out of these old lens and I really need to know the model and year. Can anybody help? Thanks.
