I'm selling my 48 Desoto. Been in the family since my Gr. Grandfather John Wheatley bought it for my Gr. Grandmother Cornelius Wheatley in 48 or 49. My mom learned to drive in it and when my Gr. Grandparents were no longer able to drive my mom and dad purchased the car from them. I was 14 and did help my dad rebuild the engine. Odometer stands at 53K miles but was disconnected when it started hanging up on the cable sleeve... probably several strands in the cable are broken creating the hang up. Anyway, it probably has closer to 65K original miles. This car is a runner, and looker but needs someone to provide some TLC now that we are downsizing our home in Beaverton, OR and finally married off our daughter. Because of it being a convertible, we have had the car in multiple weddings and most recently my daughter last year. All original except for a mirror and a manual choke cable we installed. Paint done by a custom shop in 1985 but has had some chips and dings since with a bit of rust around the trunk lid left corner. The pic is one from my daughter's wedding... I will take more if there is interest. Asking $20K.
