  1. Yes, this item was not treated well. It came from a collector who had a massive collection of NOS and mint hood ornaments and other parts, mostly for 32 Fords. I saw this stuff in the late 1970's. I was too young to understand exactly what I was seeing except that they were all in perfect condition. My dad remembers the collection much better. Those are all gone now and what's left over is the stuff on this website. I wish I knew what happened to his collection. His name was Sam Fuller. Maybe someone out there knew him. He was in Sana Ana, Ca.
  2. It's not ferromagnetic and it's heavy. I think it was horribly ground down before being re-plated.
  3. ok, I added feet-to-base pictures
  4. I tested it in hot water vs modern laser thermometer and it was reasonably accurate and surprisingly FAST.
  5. My understanding is this fit multiple cars. Any more info you can send me?
  6. this website is better than a college education
  7. I added a picture with the parts bold and beautiful. Any more thoughts?
  8. It doesn't open up all the way and it wasn't designed to so it must be a decorative radiator cap at this point.
  9. I'm guessing this would be cut to fit a radiator that it didn't quite fit. Any comments? You guys are great.
  10. My guess this is for a 32 Ford and it's an original that was re-chromed, thus the lack of detail. Any thoughts?
  11. Can anybody help out with more info on this? It is for sale but I'm new here on this forum and I'm clueless about how selling stuff works, if it's even allowed.
  12. thanks everyone, this was in a box of hood ornaments form a family estate but the owner must have been confused as well
