  1. Thanks for all of the input. I've been busy and just got a minute to respond. It IS a Special and not a Road Master. It is a 4 door. I do have a clear title. 3 Speed manual transmission, clutch is free. Three on column shifter moves through the gears smooth. I am in SC. I've rebuilt everything from a 3 horse Briggs and Stratton to a Caterpillar 3408E-V8 so I'm smart enough not to hook a battery charger up, pour some gas down the carb and let it rip. All I've done so far has been pump up the tires (tube type), pull the plugs and pour some Marvel Mystery oil into the cylinders, and order master cylinder and wheel cylinder kits. Plan on rebuilding those when time allows. My last project was a '64 Fairlane that had been garaged since '72 and it's running sweet. My main question is whether or not "Cranks, runs, rolls, and stops" adds any value to the asking price OR is "as is" just as good. Value is in the eye of the beholder. I honestly don't know how desirable this old 8,000 pound chunk of iron is. Thanks again.
  2. I'm new here and not sure of protocol. I purchased this barn find a few years back thinking i would have time to work on it but I was wrong. It is a one owner. I purchased it from the grandson of the original owner. It was driven in to this shed and parked when she passed away in 1982. 100% original and in sound condition. The property where it sits has been sold and I have to move it out. The master cylinder is frozen so I have not attempted to move it. I have not tried to turn the engine over but am confident it should spin. It is for sale but I have looked around and can't find anything close to the model/condition to be able to set a fair price. (I know what I paid for it but don't know what it's worth). Would really appreciate some input from anyone who is more knowledgeable than me. I am moving it this week, am going to rebuild the master cylinder, spin the motor to make sure nothing is seized, and put some tires on it. I will update and provide more pics of engine etc. if anyone is interested.
