  1. Lots of information on the web about replacing the 10dn alternator with an external regulator with a more modern 10si or 12si model that is internally regulated. Unfortunately most of the advice is regarding gm cars with idiot lights. Those have a 4 wire regulator harness and many companies build a kit to convert. The 66 Riviera has an Ammeter and the external regulator harness is only 3 wires. Has anyone made the conversion when a ammeter is involved? Any advice or articles about the conversion would be appreciated. Would like to retain most of the factory harness if possible. Thanks.
  2. Hi Tom, Thanks for your response. I believe the floor will be different in your Wildcat but it would be interesting to pictures of your brackets regardless. What complicates my situation is that the strato bench seat in my car is not original to the car either. So I'm starting from scratch with this conversion. As I get working on the brackets (assuming someone has the info I need) I will try to post some pictures. Thanks.
  3. Hi, New to the Riviera owners association. Joined at the recommendation of Jason Z. Owned my 66 Riviera for over 10 years. I have been a member over at V8 Buick for many years and posted this information over there as well. In the process of converting my 66 Rivera bench seat to strato buckets. Jason has written me that this conversion has not been done very often and there is very little if any documentation on the process. I have acquired all the parts including a power drivers seat. Jason was a big help with pictures of floor mounting positions and console location. My car is a very low option car and I would prefer to install the driver's seat as a manual seat. Asking for members help in either sourcing original driver's side manual seat sliders or possible aftermarket sources for seat sliders. Another option I am considering is customizing an after market seat slider to fit. Wondering if anyone has 66 or 67 seat sliders that they could take pictures of for reference? Could be either power or manual bucket seats. Possibly you have the seats out of the your car while you have been working on it? Would also be willing to "rent" a set of sliders and pay you a deposit so I could use them as a template to make my own. I am likely not to need my power seat base for my project so I would be willing to barter/trade for a manual set up. I will be documenting my process including pictures, dimensions, parts needed, etc. in order to help the Riviera community. I would be glad to share my progress as I work on the project . Thank you in advance for any member who is willing to help in any way, large or small. If you have any knowledge, pictures or sources I would be very grateful. J.R.
