  1. Jon the car b. is a 12997B zenith?? On ebay they have rebuild kits and I want to make sure I get the correct one if it is rebuildable.
  2. The guy i bought it from ssid it was no good th as t theguts we re eaten up by leaving the has in it. I think he used the ethonal gas and left it sr it fir quite a long time. I will take it to a mechanic and see what he says Thankvuou so much for the help yiu have given me !!!
  3. Thanks for your help and checking on catb for me. My carb looks like to me to br 31/4; bu 1 7/8 niw i could be wrong with my measuring . I dont know the specs for th he carb. I bet jon would know. How much do you want for the carb if it will fit on my motor?
  4. Is there more info you need off of the tag on carb? Is there a common carb. I could use on the motor? Or am i stuck with a non running motor

  7. Jon you are correct it is a zenith carb. , but there is no tag on it( darn it) the base has a number 2-82 I will try to attach some photos of it. Also there are numbers on the block of the motor. from the transmission end of block working my way towards the fan F245AGC A m 16 x As I said before the plate below the oil filter is totally rusted and I tried to wire brush it with a soft wire brush but I could not recognize anything at all on it.
  8. I really hope to get some help finding out what year and all the stuff I need to get a carb for this motor. All I was tole is that it is a continental motor and it was a 420 something. The carb got eaten way by the gas he used in it I would imagine . Any info I can get would be greatly appreciated as I need to find a carb for the motor. The plate that has the info on it was so rusty that I could not get it cleaned enough to read it. There are numbers and letters on the block but i am not sure if they would help any or not. I will get the carb off of the motor and see if there is any identification on it Thanks for any ideas you have for me.
