  1. 1941 Cadillac Series 62 Fisher Vehicle number 8348315 Plate Number 7LEA082 (Special Black Plate) Purchase Date 5-28-2015 Mileage when purchase 70998 Current Mileage 71507 Arguably one of the best-looking cars to ever roll off of Cadillac’s production lines, the first-generation, Fisher-bodied Cadillac 62 was designed new for the 1941 model range, and looks every inch the futuristic, cutting-edge vehicle that it was at the time. With a low-slung ‘torpedo’ C-Body with chrome trimmings, a curved rear window and slanted front split-screen, the base body was shared with the Buick Roadmaster and Oldsmobile Series 90 of the time, though the 62 was arguably the best looking - and largest - of the lot. This 1941 Cadillac Series 62 Fisher Body has spent most of its time on the west coast in California. The Cadillac was in very good condition when purchased, but over time and neglect the car is in poor condition today. The Cadillac has not been started in a year. Overall body condition is good, no rust though, dents, or dings. Need a good coat of paint. Chrome bumpers has rusted and can be re-chromed. The red painted steel wheels covered with chrome hubcaps and are mounted with Coker Classic whitewall tires. The Series 62 rode on a 126″ wheelbase and features a coil-sprung independent front suspension along with a live rear axle and leaf springs out back. Stopping power is provided by hydraulic drums at all four corners. Replacement brake lines was installed in 2016. Underneath the sculpted bonnet the Cadillac is powered the original 5.7-litre Monobloc V8, with Hydramatic transmission along with a six-volt electrical system. We were not able to restart the car for the July 4th parades in 2022 and was parked since. I believe the engine is fine, does not leak or burn oil before it was parked. The transmission clutch will have problems in the future, it still works but does not engage until near release all the way. The ivory-color two-spoke steering wheel features a semicircular chrome horn ring and fronts a 100-mph speedometer with a chrome bezel joined on the painted woodgrain dashboard by a horizontal bar with four auxiliary gauges, coolant temperature, battery status, and oil pressure . The only gauge that does not work is the fuel-level gauge, probably stuck. The five-digit odometer shows 71507 miles, approximately 1500 of which were added under current ownership. The car interior is finished a brown two-tone upholstery, a painted-steel woodgrain dash (repainted), a heater, a AM radio, a clock and a locking glovebox.. Radio and clock does not work. Flower vases in the door panels. The bench seats need some attention but can work or now. Door panels shows water stains probably can be cleaned. Conclusion A good mechanic with carburetor experience probably can easily get this started, The car could be painted and the clutch with need some attention. With a little attention this car can again be a beautiful vintage classic Cadillac. Repairs made to this car 10-20-1997 Wood Graining to Dash Board.
