This 1969 Chrysler “Crown” Imperial 2 Door Hardtop is in excellent condition for an unrestored driver. This Cruiser gets amazing power from its original High Performance 440 and smooth shifting torqueflite transmission. Plus, it only shows 71,000 miles.
All electrical and mechanical systems function as they should. In 1969, the Imperial hardtop was also offered in the Lebaron trim, which had a smaller back window. The Crown Imperial Coupe is hard to find because most were either the Lebaron or the 4 door coupe.
The car needs absolutely nothing to enjoy. Repainted some 30 years ago, the finish is very good with a few minor rust bubbles around the lower fender. We took a magnate to search for body filler and only found a small section of filler that is outlined in marker in the photos. The car is missing one fender skirt and should have a vinyl top replacement due to moisture that is starting to show some bubbling. Thankfully, it's an inexpensive fix to remove moisture damage and put a new top on.
Asking price is $11,500, but we would look at interesting trades.

5/26/20 Seller's Description:
Drives fantastic. Odometer shows 65,000 miles and appears accurate. I have been told it has a small hemi and it is equipped with dual exhausts. Body is solid with what appears to be second paint job applied years ago. All chrome looks good with just a little bit of surface rust on rear bumper. Interior is complete, not torn up, totally functional, but if replaced would make the car look great. All glass is good. Previous owner installed an aftermarket air conditioner which blows cold air. It could be removed with little work to return the New Yorker to original condition.
I bought the New Yorker about three years ago with the intent of Participating in Car Shows, Cruising Friday Night Drive Ins, etc. Had fun driving it but found my interest was more toward spending time at the Lake with family and friends. It needs more attention than what I am giving it. I had new brakes installed about a year ago

I have for sale a 1973 Chrysler Imperial. THE GOOD: She is a Sherwood Green, 4 door gem with an off white vinyl top and green interior. Power plant is a 440 with 99k miles. All power windows, seats, antenna and head lamp covers work. THE BAD: The 8 track player does not work, but the radio works. The heat and a/c blower motor doesn’t work up front, but rear does. The vinyl top needs some attention in the common areas for the Chryslers with vinyl tops(bottom right corner of rear window). I am the 3rd owner. This gem is a MUST SEE all original.
