Question regarding the panel stampings (ID numbers) on this particular model of Edsel. We have a very poor condition 60 Edsel convertible we are restoring. The bottom half of the car is in very bad shape. Many panels will need to be replaced. We have a donor 2 door sedan for rockers and floor pans and most all the rusted out panels. We want to ensure this restoration is as correct as possible as this is a very rare car. On the lower half of the body, where would we find the panel stampings so they are preserved on the restored car? The convertible body is being loaded on a rotisserie now for sandblasting to see just how much of the original body is missing. Is there some sort of documentation detailing the locations for the panel numbers? Yes, this a confirmed 60 Edsel convertible. Not one of the fakes. We have a fake one we plan on resto modding at a later date. Thank you in advance for any help you can forward this way.
