  1. One of the most beautiful and iconic hood ornaments of the 1950’ and 1960 s   Often used on nash rambler hood of many models. It looks especially cool on the beloved nash metropolitan.    This one is an original that I’ve had for many years.    I just picked up another.   This one has some pits in the  chrome surface, which they all normally are found with.  Years ago, I simply smoothed the surface, some light body filler to fill the pits and some silver paint finished it off.   Nothing broken or damaged, but offering it here at $150.   A DIRECT EMAIL to Tim in Norwalk, Ohio……     tmorsher@icloud.com    …….will get you in touch. I DO NOT get PMs here, thanks!

  3. Jarvis water meter.  Made by the W.B. Jarvis co in Grand Rapids , Michigan .    Uses a float to show engine overheating.  This is a nice solid meter, missing the cork float inside.  A perfect one to display in your growing collection of unique hood ornaments and radiator  cap devices.  Should be easy to repair if actually required, but as-is we are pricing  this to sell at $100.   A DIRECT EMAIL to tmorsher@icloud.com will reach me in Norwalk, Ohio. Thanks!  Tim

  4. here’s a dandy.  It’ll be awhile until you see another.   This appears NOS to me, but the paint has been lightly touched up. The original  was likely flaking a bit.   The glass SLOW lens  is easily changed up or down, so easily mounted above or below the license plate.   When in normal position, the red rear lens is lit, along with the plate being illuminated .  When brake is applied, the body rotates to the big glass SLOW sign is visible to the car  WAY TOO CLOSE behind you.   Cool piece  that will sure to please the crowd.   Tmorsher@icloud.com to discuss or to make it yours.  $500 is my asking price, and I’m in Norwalk, Ohio 44857 , birthplace of Fisher Body !

  5. These don’t fly around very often….  I believe made by Faith Automotive Products, Chicago, Ill .,   Patterned after the 1927 Lockheed Vega that was used by Amelia Earhart and Wiley Post, and the originals won every speed record at the National Airshows.     Small bulb inside illuminates the green and red side windows. ( port and starboard).  Please write directly to a Tim in Norwalk, Ohio for an honest detailed description.   Nifty item for the auto memorabilia display, or for the auto aviation enthusiast.    Asking $650  bit trades of unique model T or A radiator ornaments are always entertained.  A DIRECT EMAIL to tmorsher@icloud.com is really the best way to reach me.  Thanks!   Tim

  6. Last one of these kits available. Payment not rec’d so let’s find a home for it.  One pictures shows the granddaddy of all gasket display items.    What we can send you is the last print available.  Included will be a thin wood frame that will need to be assembled and finished to suit.  The heavy paper print ( just like the original) can be glued to a heavy cardboard or thin wood that you provide.  Assemble to frame , attach hooks or pins you provide, and Voilà, the granddaddy of all Ford gasket display boards……… $150 is the ask, + postage. OR, you can try and find a musty, dusty, torn greasy original and cough up $1000 ++ to buy it.   Tmorsher@icloud.com is the only way to reach Tim in Ohio.   Thanks!  Tim

  7. Still time before Christmas !    These were used by hardware stores and small parts jobbers back in the day to display Model T ford keys for sale.  There were 24 different keys used in the Ford ignition for the vast majority of production.  So, for 5 or 10 cents, the smart motorist could buy an extra key or a replacement for a lost key.
3 versions available, these are copied from extremely scarce originals , so instead of spending $600-1200 for something to hang on your wall or display space, $155 will get one of these delivered to your door.  NO KEYS INCLUDED
These high quality prints are then wrapped in vintage tin sheet, and attached to a thin piece of antique wood.  24 small brass hooks are attached for your key collection. These hooks are  likely made by the same manufacturer as original and the whole display is made in the USA.   A direct email to tmorsher@icloud.com will get you in touch with Tim in Norwalk, Ohio.    We are glad to answer any additional questions.  Thanks, Tim

  8. These are Schebler 1902 patent brass carbs, perfect for that very early brass era auto or highwheeler.   One is complete and in extremely good condition.  Another is complete and heavy tarnish. 3rd is just about all there, and the 4th is incomplete with some extra parts included.
I’ve personally used these type carbs, and can say they are very well made, easy to run and adjust.  Just about nobody was selling highly polished carbs at that point, so it shows the care in their manufacture. I have a copy of original instructions to include which takes the guesswork out of setting them up.
Unique design is made to run sidedraft or updraft.   I’ve personally had good luck using the gate valve, but one of the  parts carbs has a more recognizable throttle butterfly.
These are sized to work well on a 8hp up to about 16 hp and are perfect for those low rpm motors of the first decade of motoring.  $500 for what you see, and best to reach out direct to me in Norwalk, Ohio by emailing me at tmorsher@icloud.com  thanks!  Tim

  9. They work just the reverse of a motometer.      When the car radiator is full, the red ball is at it’s highest point.  There is a small cork float in the brass tube, so the action is all mechanical.
If the ball is bouncing, you know the rad water is boiling.  If the red ball is  low, you know you’’re low on coolant or water.       Hope this helps.
I know of just one other that works in this method, and was made and offered by Pulliam & Pulliam, the dealer in Los Angeles that made and sold the Mercury Body Boatail  that was used on model T fords and Chevrolets of the early to mid 1920’s. There may be more but I’m not aware of them.
Likely to get around the MotoMeter patents.

  10. Great items for the accessory collector or hood ornament collection.  We have two nice looking JARVIS water meters,  both missing the glass on the backside. Fix them up to use or a great addition to your collection as they display well as they are now.          These were made by a small company in Grand Rapids , Michigan., by the W.B.Jarvis Co.       You can reach me direct at tmorsher@icloud.com for more info or to purchase.   $160 /my  choice , $300 for both, shipped from 44857 Norwalk, Ohio thanks, Tim
