Dave, I did see the tube but couldn't get it out. Do I need any special tools to remove it?

The choke is open for sure. Is the low speed jet the one with a ball check valve in the end of it? If so I replace the ball and was working properly.

I'm working on a 1931 Chevy Coupe updraft carburetor, I cleaned with compressed air and rebuilt. all ports seemed to be clean. Installed carburetor engine cranked alright as engine warmed up it would not idle unless I held throttle to the floor. and engine was running very rich. Can any one help? please?
