  1. Great, thanks guys. I’ll look in to that.
  2. Duh, just realized the list is your cars not compatible cars. 🙈😎
  3. That’s great information. Thank you so much. I would think I could get a set for a 78 El Camino easy enough. Thank you Joe.
  4. I’m looking to put air shocks on my 1964 and I’m having a hard time finding any. Does anyone know if maybe Skylark or something else is interchangeable
  5. Thank you John. I tried everything I could think of but found nothing for the nailhead. Because all the rest have the bolts on the edges and the nailhead with only the two on top I wanted to ask.... Thank you again
  6. I just purchased a set of Offenhauser valve covers and a set of cork gaskets. Anybody know how much to tighten the bolts ?
  7. Guys, I must apologize for the time lapse but I did figure out the horn bar with the 2 screws on the back side. My 40 year old steering wheel puller worked fine after that. Only problem now is my LeCarra wheel adapter won’t allow for the horn operation...thank you all for the responses.
  8. Thank you for all the input ...it does shift hard into reverse no matter if your going from park or reverse, at a very low idle. It was an existing issue when I bought the car, It shifted hard in both directions and got worse as it warmed up. That was why I took it to a transmission shop in the first place. They told me that it needed to be rebuilt so I had them do it. The hard shifting stopped all together in forward gears but if anything it got worse in reverse. I noticed that with the driveshaft out the connection to the rear ended can be moved 1/8 of a turn...?
  9. Thank you all for your input 😎
  10. Thanks RivNut...it sounded odd to me...any idea why it would shift like butter in forward gears but slam into reverse ?
  11. Question: I have a 64 with the Turbo 400 transmission. Just had the transmission rebuilt because it was shifting very hard if at all...now it shifts through all 3 forward gears but still slams into reverse. The mechanic tells me that this is a common trailer of that specific year transmission. He also tells me that the rear end has a small amount of slop and repairing that “might” help...any feedback ?
