  1. With the bulldozer the caretakers cleared 3 miles of trails and the Matheson family planted a 15 acre coconut grove on on the backside of the island so they most likely brought the truck there to haul coconuts and other materials back and forth to the docks.
  2. Thank you very much for this information. This island is a State Park in the Florida Keys. The 280 acres island was purchase in 1919 by wealthy chemist William Matheson and he built a beautiful 2 story home there. The Matheson family brought all sorts of machinery to the island including an old caterpillar bulldozer and rock crusher. You can check out our park page at...https://www.floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/lignumvitae-key-botanical-state-park.
  3. How is this? We were also thinking 1936 but we were not sure. It looks like the serial number is 8390945.
  4. This old dodge truck is located at Lignumvitae Key State Park in the Florida Keys. I am trying to find out more information on its model for our walking tours. I believe it is either a 1936 or 1935 model. Any help would be appreciated.
