Thank you. That makes sense. The owner, E.J. Masek, was a director of the Abie State Bank in 1905; it had loans of $9,719.45, and deposits of $14,848.36, and profits of $647.28, back in 1905, so he probably felt rich!! He also owned and operated the hardware store in the little village.
I wonder how much that car would have cost in those days??
