  1. Hello Everyone,

I have been looking for a reach rod end for my 36 Dictator Coupe, part #188061 for 2 years.  Mine is the one with the spring on it and the other one  I purchased with the same part number is the other one in the picture.  Can someone help me with any information.  The last thing that I want to do is start cutting on the original one to make the other one work.

    Thanks,

    Dennis

  2. Thanks everyone. Today I ordered one from 'Restoration Supply Company'. It is a 160* and it goes in the upper radiator hose. I don't know how to attach the picture that I took of my book.  But it shows it in the hose held in place with a hose clamp.  As soon as I learn how to get picture from my phone to the computer I will post a picture of my restoration of the 36 Dictator Coupe.  I can't wait to drive it as I never have.  Again thanks, Dennis

  3. I have been searching for the correct removal of the distributor, but haven't found it. Can someone please tell me how to remove it correctly,so that when I put it back in, it is in the correct position? I want to clean/check the vacuum advance and see if the bushings on the shaft are in need of replacement and paint it. Also the vacuum line is broken, copper I think. Need a new line and a way to flare the end.

    Thanks,

    Dennis

  4. Thanks for everyone's help. Today I took it to Noland's  Cylinder head service in KCMO and the welder on the staff fixed it by using pot metal rods. The owner said that he, the welder is the best in town. Can fix cast metal or anything.  I believe him as he fixed it and now all that I have to do is smooth it out before I take it to the body shop. I originally went there to get a broken pressure plate bolt out and the welder got it out by welding onto it and backing it out. Just an FYI.

    Thanks again,

    Dennis

  5. The tail light base for my 36 Dictator Coupe is cracked.  I need to get it repaired before I can have it painted.  I do not know what kind of metal that it is made out of.  Can someone please tell me if you know and how it can be repaired.  The last thing that I want to do it ruin it by trying to repair it incorrectly.

Thanks for any and all help.

I'm sorry about the delayed response.  I finally remembered what my password is for this forum and got to the only computer that has these pictures stored on it.  Anyway, here is what I have for '37.

I don't have any red lenses or bezels that I could find.  Both buckets have had some body work done to them.  The base had a split just like yours (they all do it seems) and was repaired with PC-7 epoxy.

Let me know if interested in any of this.
