  1. Anyone have the original paint code or info so I can get this engine painted its proper color? Someone painted it turquoise. Shouldn't it be a silver color?
  2. Folks, can someone please help me out? I have been attempting to restore an older Lady's 57. This has been her dream car since she was 5 years old, and recently discovered she may have cancer. Her husband was basically crying at my shop because he lost his first wife to cancer. I am down to needing a decent pair of hood hinges, after the one's on the car were found to be bent due to a front collision, at some point in the car's life. We had rebuilt them, but after mounting them to the header supports and hood they just are not right. Does anyone have a set of good hinges they would be willing to sell me, so i can finish this Lady's dream car before something happens to her? Please! If not, what supplier or company would have a set, I could buy? I am just a small town guy trying to make a old lady's dream car come back to life so she can actually drive it. I want to see that smile put on her face.......Thanks, Everyone.
  3. Thanks, Lew. I am figuring anywhere around 1/8-3/16 is probably decent. Ill shoot for something that looks decent. I appreciate you checking for me.
  4. Lew, i appreciate the reply. I am a body man by trade since 1982. I do know the car was bumped in the front end, and I am wanting to know what the standard gaps from front to back should be. I am thinking 3/16, but I am not sure. I was hoping someone had one that hasn't been bumped in the front end, and could maybe measure the gaps for me. I appreciate your reply. Thanks!
  5. Can someone tell me what the hood gap around the hood should be on a 57 T-Bird? I believe we have one that has been hit in the front at some time, and the hood seems to have a tight gap front to back. Any help would be appreciated.
  6. I tried to upload two pics, and it says "invalid file"...hmmmm
  7. Located a 1967 I was considering buying here in Montana. No rust, clean body excpet a dent on each lower quarter. The rest of the body is a 9.5 out of a 10. The vinyl roof is all but gone, due to the sun and sitting out since '79. Glass is all near perfect, as is most of the black interior. It is the stad blue exterior color. I can't verify the engine, or rest of the drivetrain, as far as if it still runs, tranny good, etc. I don't know much about these cars, other than what I read on 66 and 67 models. I know some improvements were made on the 67 models and they made about half of what they made in 67. Any ideas on values? Is this thing worth anything? thanks guys!
