  1. I’ve got it running pretty good after sitting for 30+ years, the gas tank has been professionally cleaned and sealed, and the fuel line has been replaced and the carburetor rebuilt. The brakes need completely gone thru and radiator should be pulled and cleaned. Needs a belt, hoses and a good tune up.

  4. After much deliberation and talks with dad we both have decided to sell grandfathers truck, the problem is how do you come up with a price for a truck this old and has been in the family since 1934. Does anyone know or can recommend someone that can give a fair appraisal?
  5. Great info 30dodge35 and Country Traveler. Love the Picts.
  6. Ian i as well am still learning, and dont know much about this truck. My Great Grandfather bought this truck new in 1934 and when he passed my father inherited the truck. dad drove it on weekends for awhile and then parked it in his garage in 1982 and there it sat up till about two years ago when i brought it home and started tinkering with it in hopes to get it back on the road. the guys on this forum have a wealth of knowledge and seem to share that knowledge only for the asking for which i am gratefull.
  7. I definitely planned on using a sealer after removing all the rust, that Eastwood kit sounds like exactly what I need. Thanks again 30dodge35

  9. So far your right Nearchacolatetown, made several calls today and no radiator shop does tank cleanings around my area. Since I've got more time than money I'll give your solution a try. Thanks
  10. Thanks 30dodge35, I'll check with local radiator shop and see about having that done.
  11. I just pulled the fuel tank out of the truck and discovered it was coated with thick varnish and whats left of 30 year old fuel, im sure there's some rust but cant see much thru the sending unit opening. My question is whats the best method for cleaning that junk out of there. I've heard laquer thinner and Ascetone with chain or a hand full of nuts thrown in, and then just slosh it all round. Im not sure how well this will work as it looks like there is a baffle in the middle of the tank.
  12. That's great info, I'll give him a call. Thanks
  13. I have a 34 Dodge Truck, the motor was replaced in the 40's and not sure what or where the motor came from. I recently brought the truck home from my dads where its been in storeage for the past 30 yrs. The truck was bought by my great grandfather new in 34. Other than the motor its all original. Thanks for the info, i will contact Mike's Carburetor parts and see what he can do for me.

Its alittle rough around the edges but from what i can tell everthing is still there. I would like to know if anyone could direct me to sites or places of contact for replacement parts such as: fenders, brakes, brake parts, wheel bearings, seals ect. My main goal is to get it back in good working order and safe to operate for driving to vintage car shows and meets Thanks for Looking Mike Vancouver Wa.
