Just to let you know, I ended up using those pressed felt round bumpers that they put on the inside of drawers so they don't bang when closed....I drilled 1/8 hole in the center of them and they worked awesome....just riveted them on
Hi Ron...think I found what I am looking for.... Model A Ford - Mike's "A" Ford-able Parts - Radiator Splash Apron Felt Pads: Mike's "A" Ford-Able Parts thanks for all your help
Hi Ron, Maybe it was a circle underneath the head of the rivet that I blasted away, but either way it covered the whole head of the rivet so as not to rattle and make noise....hoob welting? I googled it but nothing came up....
I have them circled in red....but like I said, no felt left on them after sandblasting.....they had the felt on the head side because they touch the inside of the frame rail top covers....
I will take a picture but there is none of the felt left on the heads because when I sandblasted it took it all off....I should have taken them out first and put them back in after sandblasting....
Just wondering if anybody has a source for new radiator apron felt bumper rivets for 29 DA dodge.....These are the 6 felt head bumpers that go into the radiator apron and press against the inside of the top frame covers....they have a split metal end that you bend over like a cotter pin that holds them in place....Not sure of the proper term for them
