If you obtained this badge in Australia then you have certainly stumbled on a piece of Australian Oldsmobile history here. This is a badge that was typically mounted through the radiator cap in Australia and its from "The Oldsmobile Club" which was formed in Sydney (Australia) back around 1929. I've got a number of extracts from a NSW based auto magazine called "Motor Life" that recorded their events. The club lasted through certainly as far as 1931 but I've never seen any further details of it in any Australian auto mags beyond that. If your interested in more info, contact me through the Oldsmobile Club of Australia website and I'd be happy to send you copies of what info I have. Oldsmobile Club of Australia, Official web site If you look closely at your badge, they have certainly tried to copy components of the Olds Shield badge that came out in 1929 (you can see the acorns in the lower right and a poor attempt at copying the wings in the upper left of the badge). Would certainly love to see some more pics of it some time, as I'm a bit of an Aussie Olds historian. Cheers
