  1. I remember when I lived at home in late '60's or early '70's my dad gat an excellent mag called Ford Truck Times or something similar. It not only contained promotion on current models but had articles on people who owned their pickups for a long time. Some excellent pictures of classic Ford pickups.

  2. Friend just picked up a 44469 Skylark four door sedan with the 340 code NB in it but it has a two barrel carb.

This is a two owner car and it looks original. Did Buick sell this engine with a 2BC instead of the 4BC? Has factory AC also.

    Car is fast!!!

    thanks,

    Al

I don't remember how the Skylarks were set up but the LeSabres mostly came with the 340/2 and the two speed automatic. If you ordered the 340/4 it came with the 3 speed (TH400) transmission.

  3. That is a sharp automobile! '70 was one of the years I was considering when I found my '67. I love the looks of this range. Mine needs work before I start posting pictures but stay tuned. Right now I have to build a new garage before I invest any more in the car. It could be a busy year.

  4. The dash is sort of concave and that is mirrored in the face of the original radio. I'll try to find a rectangular one that is the correct width and then see how to fit it in. It may have to be recessed close to a half inch at the bottom. I just don't want a gap.

  5. I have a Riviera that I am trying to make a decent driver without going broke. :D The original AM/FM radio doesn't work. I want to find something that will fit physically and sound OK at a reasonable price. I don't know if the original speakers are usable or not. Any suggestions are appreciated.

  6. When you get the Buick power in it, you might try to replace the GMC logos on front & back with Buick name and Trishield. It could be a design challenge but may turn out to be a one of a kinf that is sharp.

  7. I am getting together a list of things I need for my 67 to make it run right. I have been told the Carter carb is not correct. can someone tell me what I should look for.

This is what it looks like.

  8. I just saw the pictures Chrysler released of their new 200 Convertible. Its an update of the old Sebring line. Its nice to see a new convertible out there, but that one doesen't quite do much for me. I see so much more potential if Buick would bring out a drop top for either the Regal or Lacrosse line. That might convince me to buy one more new car!

How about it? Have any of you heard any scuttlebutt or rumors from GM?

PS It might be a back door way to get them to build a two door car again!

  9. When I got my 67 LeSabre from my wife's aunt's house in Houston this title couldn't be found and it hadn't been registered in the last 10 years. In Texas I applied for a lost title replacement. All we did was get the form and get Auntie's signature notarized even though it was in he husband's name who had been dead since 1977. I'm sure it was a little easier because I had the old licence plate and knew the owner's name.

  10. Sorry I didn't think to look for a number or know where to look. When I went back to the store a few days later it was already gone. I have no idea where it may show up next. I think it belongs to some fertilizer or seed company whosw peoducts were being displayed in the garden section of the store.

  11. I ran across a Buick truck with a 1918 Pennsylvania liccense last week used as a display at our local WalMart. I couldn't find anything about it but snapped these pictures

1918 (?) Buick truck seen at Walmart in Grapevine. This is being used for advertising but it appears to be a complete vehicle. I could not open the doors or hood but took these pictures without touching anything.
