Old family photo. Can you help with make/model/year?

They lived in Pennsylvania, Indiana, and North Carolina (later Florida). I'm not sure where this picture was taken but I'd guess North Carolina.

West, No his name was George William "Mike" Murphy. He worked for the Auburn-Cord-Dusenburg company. According to my mother-in-law he was an "expermential engineer" but I don't really know what he did there. He loved cars and had the money (during the depression) to own a lot of fancy autos. After ACD went under, he moved to Greensboro NC (the picture is in front of his house there).

Old family photos. The baby is my wife, who was born in 1943 (don't tell her I told) so the picture must be from that year.

Old family photo. I know this is a hard one but it's the only picture of the car I have. License plate says 1949.

The car was owned by my wife's parents (who are in the pictures).

This picture was taken by Pine Croft lake in Greensboro, NC in (I think) 1937.

I wish they were still in the family. What kind of father-in-law would not save the 36 boat tail speedster for his son-in-law? Many thanks to all who helped me id the cars. This information will add a lot to the family records.
