  1. Hi everyone, I was hoping someone would have some ideas on what my family and I should do about a registry problem we are having here in Massachusetts. About 15 years ago, my dad purchased a 1960 Thunderbird from a dealer in New Hampshire. The Bill of Sale states that it is "as-is" and "not-drivable". New Hampshire did not issue a title, and my dad did not register it in Massachusetts when he bought it. The car remained garaged, in the same condition and not driven for 13 years. My mom had the car restored over two years, and then this spring went to register it. The RMV here would not accept just the bill of sale from 1994 and wanted more of a "paper trail" from the dealer it was bought from. Luckily, the dealer was still in business, but when he checked his files, he could not find any paperwork from where he bought it from. So right now, we have a restored 1960 thunderbird, and can't get it on the road without proof of where the dealer bought it from in 1994. Our insurance agent suggested we sell the car back to someone in the state of NH (whose laws are less strict then Mass) and have it registered and titled there for a while, then have it sold back to us at a later date. Has anyone dealt with this problem before? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
