Hello, I'm a researcher working on a book on the first Indianapolis 500. I would like to talk with anyone who has or has driven a circa-1911 Indy-style car. If you have or have driven a Marmon, Lozier, National, Fiat, Simplex, Mercer, Strutz or any of the other lost brands from the 19-teens, particularly 1911, I'd like to talk with you. I'm interested in the experience, in what it feels like to be behind the wheel of an early Indy car – the steering, braking, suspension, the noise, the exposure, etc. I'm looking for someone who can describe that experience.
