It is difficult to tell the Model J from the Model T. The J has a 121 in wheel base and the T has a 127 in wheel base . The J is a 6 cyl and the T is an 8 cyl. There are a few clues that tells me that this car is a 1935 model. The 1934 J & T did not have a bold hood ornament and no lovers in the side of the hood. The torpedo hood ornament was added on the 1935 J & T. Some of the late 1934 T's did have side lovers in the hood. The Hupp car company was in bad financial condition at this time. In 1934 they producted 2264 J's and 954 T's. In 1935 224 J's and 547 T's.

The length of the hood tells me that its a Model J-521. Meaning a 1935 year and a wheel base of 121 in. 6 cyl. The extended trunk or Bussell Back as it was called was introducted in 1935 on the Model N & G.
