  1. When I purchased a 1950 Chevy Deluxe I got not paper work, i.e. title but found some old registration slips from 1950-1988, the last year it was registered, in glove box. How can I find out what type really my car is and engine size. It says Chevy 1950 sedan 4dr, 6 cyl. on those registration slips, has Deluxe on side front fenders in chrome. So I have been searching and searching web for info, It's either I believe a Styline or a fleetline or maybe they just made a 1950 Chevy 4 DR Sedan Deluxe???? It is a 6 cylinder 3 speed on the column. I have the VIN number if that would help. I am so new to this restoration thing and trying to do my best to find any info out about the car.. I look forward to hearing advice from you specialists in old classic cars. Thanks...

  3. Can anyone please help me here about cleaning out a gas tank without taking it off the car or is it impossible to do. Thanks
  4. I just bought a 1950 Chevy Styline Deluxe 4 dr. The car was last ran in 1988 and has been setting in a building for the last 20 yrs. I am new and learning as I go on working on this old of car. I have gotten it to run but drained the gas tank and noticed a disgusting gooey black tar came out the plug hole, and the gas stunk like varnish. Is there any way I can clean that out since there is a drain plug without taking the tank off as I know the original bolts and straps will probably snap and hate to break original parts, but if I have to take it off I will as it will not run with that stuff in the bottom of tank. Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated... Thank you..
