  1. About the triangle.... As I understand it ,this was pertaining to Chevies, but as to whether it is Canadian only I don't know. I thought that 1928 was Chevrolet's first year for 4 wheel brakes.
  2. Thanks Don, Ive registered there and am hoping to figure out how to post some pics. I find this very interesting, reading other people's stories and learning a little each time.
  3. Hi Bill, I did manage to get some pics up on the general discussion forum. Thanks peter Ps Thats a nice looking roadster. Did you restore it?
  4. Thanks, I'm also a Ford guy so lots to learn.. I drive a '29 CCPU as a daily. Apparently, these were not really available to the public, but intended to be used as 'shop hacks' around the Oshawa Plant. At this stage it looks like there may be as many as 8 known. Two confirmed as drivers so far.
  5. Hello, Any info on these vehicles would be appreciated. I have just acquired this and am still gathering info'. The casting # on the block is: 348532 then underneath a bowtye and 2, then unde that is ; B 4 8. The last part I understand was the date, but can anyone tell me what the other numbers mean? The engine 3 is late in the 1928 year at; 4087674 as I understand it so far. Thanks for any help. Peter
  6. Hello Bill, Thanks for your reply. Yes I agree it would be shame to see this vehicle lost.I have saved every rusted screw and rotted piece of wood and tried to photograph it the way it came to me. It has these wonderful features about it that distinguish it as a Roadster Pick-Up. Brass brackets with casting #'s and a small well in the rear drivers side fender that recieves the spare rim which sits in a lovely cast saddle on the running board. Peter
  7. Hello, I'm new here. I have recently acquired a '28 Chevrolet rdstr p/u which is in sad shape. I thought that I might use it as a simple rat rod and put it on a different frame etc. However the more I research the more I like it as it is and am starting to want to restore. I would appreciate any infomation forthcoming about this seemingly rare vehicle. The engine # is4087674. Engine casting #is; 348532 bowtye 2, B 4 8.There is no "T" in front of the engine #. So far i have discovered that there may be only 8 or 9 of these in existence. Although the Aussies have a fair 'swag' of them restored though slightly different from mine. I'm not sure how to post a pic on here yet. Thankyou for any help or interest in advance
