Does anyone have any idea if the belly ( underside of floor pans) on a 56 olds 88 is supposed to the body color or black?

I am presently restoring a 56 olds 88 2dr ht. I am doing a frame off restortaion. I am trying to find out if the belly, (bottom of the floor pans)is supposed to be black or the body color. thanks Mike
