  1. I just wanted to show you the picture I just took of my grandfather's things. Also, I have really enjoyed learning about the Locomobile and the Vanderbilt Races. I can see why you are all so interested...it's fun.

  2. Vanderbilt Cup racing trophy won by Locomobile Company, 1908. These smaller trophies are quite rare. The Locomobile was the first American car to win an International race in 1908 and the company based in Bridgeport CT had reception where these small trophies were given out to commemorate the event. This automobile memorabilia piece measures 4 and 1/4" high and made by the Forbes Silver Company in quadruple plated silver.
