philipj
Hello All, I am trying with no luck to fit an AC #530 fuel pump into my 1947 motor (fitted to my 38 Century) The arm on this replacement pump would insert from the bottom and it is marked 1523993... I am beginning to question whether or not this 530 pump is correct for a Big Buick 8. Even if I spin the motor over I cannot get the pump to go in. The previous pump was an AB style pump that looks period correct for a 38 (arm# 1522071 inserts from top) but it is not a good fit for that block since it does not sit right on the boss and leaks oil no matter what you do try to seal it...Your help is greatly appreciated. Than you.
philipj
Happy to confirm that the #530 fuel pump, original GM 1537338 with a pivot arm marked 1523993 is correct for a 1948 320 engine S/N 50650397.
