Guest BillyB19500 Posted July 22, 2016 Share Posted July 22, 2016 I have recently had the transmission rebuilt in my 82 Buick Riviera convertible at 137k miles. I wonder if anyone can help me with a problem that wasn't evident prior to the rebuild. The torque converter was rebuilt as well. While 1st and reverse work smooth as expected, the change from 1-2 is ok, the change from 2-3 only occurs at high revs about 50 mph and won't change from 3-drive. I am in Tasmania, Australia and parts are hard to find here because I have to have them shipped in, I was hoping to narrow the options down and take at least some of the guesswork out.
