side moulding on 1962 Electra?

i have a 62 lesabre that is missing the side moulding from the back towards the front on each side.  i am looking at pictures of Electras and i don't see ANY that have this moulding. so is that right? chrome rear "fender spears" only on the leSabre? i only ask cause a guy has an Electra he's parting out. he doesn't know right at the moment if he has them or not.  

 

while i'm at it.  do these cars come up to be parted out very often? if i pass on this one part that i need right now, about how long would you expect to have to wait for another one to come up??  i think it would be a while.  esp for the front piece i need, because people tend to run into things before they part their cars out. i'm hesitant to even mention this on this forum for fear someone else will look. but this site has so few members, esp  with 62's that i'm not too worried about it. most of the stuff i see however, for some reason, are pitted really bad. i don't quite understand that.
