motoringicons
1950 GMC 300 American Firetruck. This truck spent the bulk of its life in Wisconsin. It measures about 23 feet long and weighs about 7,700 pounds-so it's got some size but is still easy to drive, transport or store. It is powered by the original 248 GMC straight-six overhead valve engine. It has a four speed transmission as well as a two speed rear end which allows this truck to be driven down the highway at freeway speeds but can also crawl slowly in a parade. In recent years, the truck has been mechanically serviced including rebuilt brakes, rebuilt cylinder head, new hoses and belt, new tires, new exhaust system and has been rewired and converted to 12 volts. It starts easily and runs and drives well. All of the gauges, lights and sirens work as they should. The paint is older but has a really good look to it. The interior is likely original or has been replaced many years ago. It is certainly clean and functional. The body, fenders, etc are extremely straight and sound. This is a really solid and good running firetruck that is ready to drive and enjoy. The price is an extremely reasonable 9,000.00 and it is located near Jefferson, WI. Clear and current title.
