John_Mc
Guys, just a shout out to say that I was amazed at the great dedication and service paid to me by Michael Leveillee of KM Lifestyle. He repairs and sells instruments for antique cars, including temperature sending units for our beautiful Zephyrs. www.mykmlifestyle.comI ordered a new temp sending unit for my '37 Zephyr and when installed it read at the gauge exactly the opposite of it should have. In other words it started out with the gauge needle pegged at H and then slowly went down to the mid-range. When calling Michael about this issue he found out that the 1936 & 1937 Zephyrs actually used a different mechanism for reading temperature and asked me to hold on to what I had and he would re-engineer another sending unit and send it out. Last week I installed the latest one and now my gauge reads just like it should. Michael took an amazing amount of time discussing the issue with me. He is extremely knowledgeable and most gracious. I recommend him highly. 508-792-9500.
Phil Knapp
I seem to remember that sometime in the deep, dark, distant past that Ford temperature gauges parked on "HOT".Presumably to prevent engine damage if the temperature sensor failed. How about it Jeff?
