Guest dolphans1
How to replace a fuel pump on a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500.I removed the fuel pump from 57 and there's a lever sticking out that slides into the left front motor area of cam shaft.Does anyone know the correct procedure in putting it back on?Does that lever shaft have to go in a certain way?Can it go in a wrong way, which would damage the engine?I just can see or feel if its over or under the cam shaft when I try several different ways. Also the new pump I purchased, the lever looks different than the original.d-1 Edited September 8, 2014 by dolphans1 (see edit history)
