Really Sharp 1940 Buick Super Four Door Sedan

1940 Buick Super Four Door Sedan. This car has been owned by the current family for about twenty years. The father completed an extremely well done, frame-on restoration about 15 years ago and the car has always been maintained both cosmetically and mechanically. The paint is excellent throughout. It is the correct shade of Buick DARK BLUE (it looks black in the photos!). The paint shows no signs of underlying body work anywhere. There is no bubbly or cracking, and it presents extremely well with an even gloss throughout. The fit and finnish of the body panels is excellent. There are no ripples in the body and all of the body lines are crisp and clean.The body has even gaps and margins on all of the doors, hood, trunk, etc. There does not appear to be any signs of body work and the floor pans, etc are very nice and clean. The chrome and stainless are excellent. The glass is very nice including the glass channels and all of the window glass roll up and down with ease. The upholstery is a period correct striped tan broadcloth material and is excellent including the door panels, floors, headliner, etc. The interior is extremely accurate and well done. All of the woodgraining has been redone. The dashboard is excellent with good bakelite controls, excellent gauges, etc. The trunk is nice and clean including the trunk pans, etc. Mechanically, the car runs and drives excellent. It goes down the road nice and straight and is a pleasure to drive.The engine starts easily, runs quietly, the clutch and transmission are smooth and the steering and brakes are responsive and accurately adjusted. The tires are newer and appear to be radials. All of the gauges and lights work. The clock and radio do not work. The engine bay could use a bit of a detailing but is very clean. The chassis is original and clearly shows what a solid and well maintained car this has always been. This car has recently been fully serviced and has had an extensive detailing. It is ready to use and enjoy and presents extremely well. The odometer shows about 68K miles. The car is being sold with a nice collection of related literature, etc. Clear and current title.
