Guest L41Type151 Posted May 15, 2013 Share Posted May 15, 2013 Hi - Don't know if anyone has gotten back to you on this but here's my 2 cents. Yes, VW did use wood in the tops of convertible Bugs. However, I believe your pic shows the latch assembly for a VW Karmann Ghia convertible (not sure what year). The Ghia also used wood in the top. Hope that helps!
