DOMS54
Have installed Pertronix "HOT" coil. Test for a coil resistor or ballast resistor indicates a resistor in the circuit. If the test is correct the resistor must be removed. Is there a resistor? If there is, where is it located? I have a 239V8 with positive ground. Thanks for any help. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> [color:"red"]
Guest simplyconnected
If it is still a 6-volt system, you don't need a resistor. That didn't happen until 1956 change to a 12-volt system.
