  1. The steering on my 63 Riv (among many other things from the roof down) is rotted out on my car, so I'm wanting to upgrade it to Rack & Pinion –though keeping the spindle back steer. Any recommendations on what company makes a Rack & Pinion that fits these first gen Rivs? I'm hoping to lose all this wacky steering linkage to clean up the bay a bit. Thanks, Chaz
  2. Will do. Reposted (and slightly reworded) here: http://forums.aaca.org/ubbthreads.php/topics/531789#Post531789 Thanks, Chaz
  3. Hi, I'd like to upgrade the control arms on my 63 Riv with tubular control arms and also go with an air ride suspension. Unfortunately I can't locate anyone that sells aftermarket control arms that fit the Riv. Anyhow I noticed the Impala [Red Sled] on Musclecar TV also has a cruciform frame and it's sporting tubular Strong Arms with air ride... my question: Are there any parts on first Gen Rivs that are shared parts with other GM models? I know all of the body panels are unique in the GM family but I was hoping that if there were compatible parts underneath the body I could order those parts using another model rather than my Riv. Thanks, Chaz

  5. In reply to RivNut: Yup, the rimless windows were indeed part of this. I may be mistaken but the skins were installed after the windows were in assembly to make installation and any needed correcting of the windows easier.
