  1. Thanks for the replies! It's actually for a friend's car. I don't know much about it. Tim
  2. Howdy. Tim here. I had what I think may be a simple question. On the 1937 Olds, did the car have lug nuts or lug bolts? Was it different from the back or front of the car? Thanks for any info you can provide! Tim MBL
  3. I'll check it out. I did see some stuff called hydrographic film. Very interesting. I can totally see doing that. So here's another question...How do you pull the wiper control bezel? Is that riveted on like the headlight switch? Another mystery! Tim MBL
  4. Pulled the dash out and apart. It needs some work. In the areas that have bad pitting, I'm gonna spot weld some sheet metal under it to strengthen it. Then I will use almetal filler on the top. Now anyone know how they did that woodgrain? Tim MBL
  5. Its a 55 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer... Not sure what the actual color is. Tim MBL
  6. Sure I'm interested! I'll shoot you a PM. Tim MBL
  7. Pulled the dashboard out over the weekend. I need to do some rust repair. And the windshield garnish molding will need to be replaced. This garnish appears to be the same as perhaps the other Mopars. And possibly up through 48. Does anyone know for sure? If the windshield rubber is the same for 41-48, it may stand to reason that the windshields are the same...and therefore the inside garnish. Thanks Tim MBL
  8. I checked with Andy the other day. He has a bunch of stuff, but not the stuff I am hunting for at this point. I'm hoping to find someone parting out a 41 Dodge somewhere. I could use some of the items not typically cataloged by most parts suppliers. I'm just starting on this guy, so hopefully some items will turn up soon. Tim MBL
  9. Howdy All. My name is Tim. I have not been on these forums in quite a while, but I figured I'd start in due to a recently acquired project. I just picked up a 1941 Dodge Business Coupe. It needs quite a bit so I am on the quest for some small parts. Decent used/restorable parts is the focus. I supposed I could use some info on interchange. For example, I could totally use a garnish molding for the front windshiled. Not sure if its the same for all Chrysler products or not. Would like to see if I can find a decent dash and restorable steering wheel too. Anyhoo, the quest is on! Any help on parts etc will be GREATLY Appreciated. Here's a few pics of the ride: Thanks again! Tim MBL
  10. Howdy all...I have quick and hopefully easy question. I don't have a wire connected to the spring loaded gound plate that is actuated by the horn ring. I can see where it connects to on the plate itself, however, I cannot determine how the wire is routed after that point. Can someone tell me how the wire is directed down the column? Any help on this would be great. Thanks Tim MBL
  11. Kool! OK...get those plugs outta there..first...Then try with a new set. You may also want to try some starter fluid. If the car was always hard starting...I'd think the timing is off a bit. Try retarding the timing a bit by turning the dist in the opposite direction of the vacuum advance. Then try again. Tim MBL
  12. The best way to do it is check to see if you are getting a spark...Pull one of the wires and have someone crank it. If you are getting spark and fuel...then it could be that your timing is off. I messed with my 55 Packard for weeks before I found out that it wasn't starting because of 8 or so stuck valves and bent pushrods... make sure your valves are opening. Tim MBL

    1955 400 heater core

I know what you are talking about with the wires and heater core ductwork. A big pain...I was thinking the same thing before I just gave up on it and moved to something else. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I was wondering what would be best to use here as well. Or is there some other "junkyard" application that would fit in that box just fine... Tim MBL
  14. Howdy all. My name is Tim and I am new to the world of Dodge and the forum. I have a 1955 Dodge Cusom Royal Lancer and the pedal seems really low to the floor. For this reason I have little pedal travel. I am pretty sure this is not how it was originally. Can someone tell me how to adjust this? Any help would be great. Thanks Tim MBL
