Dodge Dart GT Hood Ornament Trim Pieces
Firebird89 replied to Firebird89's topic in Dodge & Dodge Brothers
Thanks Keiser31, I'll see what they can do. -
Hey guys, This chick needs measurements and pics of top and bottoms of the chrome hood trim pieces that connect to the 64 Dodge Dart GT hood emblem. Appreciate all your help so far! Thank yous, Jamie B (Yooper Chick)

Mystery is yet unsolved.. haha The opening/top is 2" in diameter and the "connecting"/interior diameter is 3".

Appreciate all of your input guys! The horn ring sold for $541.99 on auction on eBay! I think we found an interior window frame and a backseat ashtray from the same car this horn ring was removed from. Boss says he had a tissue box at one point, but doesn't remember where it ended up... Guess it's time to start digging a little deeper in the junk yard. ha ha

Oh I have ways. Was able to get a little off the other day with one of my copper rock picks. Detail work though if you don't wanna scratch up inside too much..
-
So that's what that black stuff is from.. I totally thought it was paintfrom whatever the thing was previously attached to. Thank you. I may have to scrape the putty out at some point... lol
-
Keiser31 I think you're on the right track. Keep it up guys! I will have more to ID as we go through the barns, buses, vans and trailors packed with auto parts. Haha Thanks! Jamie Lee

Alright guys, here's one for ya. The only identifying thing I can find on this mystery is a 2 on the bottom inside edge...Was told it might be the chrome for horn button or a hubcap center detail similar to the spinner type. What do yous think?

Which car would these "Pontiac" Script Chrome Emblems be for?
Firebird89 replied to Firebird89's topic in Pontiac & Oakland
Thanks lalautze, I appreciate your extra effort, but I do like these emblems and if I couldn't sell them for anything more than a couple twenties, then they will stay with my collection of vintage auto parts. he he Just figured that since I had such a hard time finding any information on these two on the internet, they might have been a rare pair of emblems. My boss has so many antique cars and trucks on his farm. It is pretty exciting diving into the piles of auto parts he and his brother removed from cars before they crushed them to sell as scrap metal. I'll post more interesting items when I get a chance to go gallivanting the junk yard again! Thanks again eh, Jamie Lee (Yooper Chick) -

This is exactly the information I was looking for. Thank you so much Lee! I looked for too many hours online in the past few days trying to get exact data on these two. Any idea what they might be worth or know anyone who might be interested in making an offer on them? ha ha Check out the pic of the 1953 Pontiac these emblems came off of. Thanks again! Jamie Lee -
Which years and models might these sweet fender emblems fit?
Firebird89 replied to Firebird89's topic in What is it?
Here's the '53 Pontiac that the emblems were in. They do fit the front fenders and there is little extra chrome trim. Cool eh? Thanks! Jamie Lee -

I posted this same question somewhere else on this site and I am told that they fit the 1951 1952 Pontiac as Door Script Trim Emblems and the 1953 Base Pontiac Front Fender Script Trim Emblems. Thanks so much for the help guys! Jamie Lee -
Thanks for the additional info Jack M. I would have been forever lost on the application of this emblem without aaca.org. This site and the people on it are amazing! Jamie Lee

Hey there, Does anyone have info on these emblems? Found in the back seat of a plain style 2 door 1953 Pontiac with little additional chrome, which they seemed to fit the front fenders on it. Looked online and can't find any specifics on these guys... Do they only fit 1953 or do they fit other years? The part #s on them are 515805 and 515806. Appreciate your thoughts. Thank yous! Jamie
