  1. Which one of the RHD cars was Gene Klineburger's?
  2. Henry has an extra 320 sitting around. Maybe he can make a good one out of two.
  3. Am I mistaken or did I miss something? My impression has been that the Eva Braun car was assembled from bits and pieces and the story was nonsense.
  4. Gas Monkey had a detail guy come in and spiffed up the 230 Cab and they got $125,000 for it. They kept harping that the motor was bad and unrepairable but they never told us why.
  5. It was on last night. I think it was a 1938 230 Cab A. Restored in the Seventies. Kind of bright green. They paid $85,000 for it. I think the interior color is wrong. It needed, or so they thought, a head gasket. They put the gasket in and it smokes a lot so they decided to "Stick a fork in it". I am looking at it and saying to myself; OK it needs rings maybe and a valve job. Send it to Henry or whoever and $5,000 or $10,000 and you get a good one back.
  6. Any comments on the 230 CAB on the Gas Monkey show?
  7. DID ANYBODY SEE IT? DID ANYBODY SEE IT?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The film on TCM early this morning? Desperate Journey. 1942 RAF downed flyers making their way out of Germany. Errol Flynn, Ronald Reagan, Alan hale, Raymond Massey Etc. They flog a couple of Pre-War Benzes on the Warner Brothers back lot. AND THEY DON"T HOLD BACK!!!!!!!!! It also looks like they chuck one off a bridge. Oh, Boo Hoo! Yeah, they speed up the action a bit but if you ever want to see what they were built to do watch the film!
  8. Forgive me Henry; And have HENRY restore it for that!
  9. Repeat after me; B A R R E T T - J A C K S O N. You could buy Henry's Combination Coupe and restore it for that! And his is only one of three!
  10. This is the interior shot that I have of the 540K when I worked at Bob Platz's. Of course I wish I had a better shot but this is what I think the pattern should look like. It's been a year and a half since I've seen Henry Magno's Combination Coupe so I really can't say what his has. And I need to revise my opinion of the B-J 320's pattern. I think it's from a 1969 Plymouth Sport Fury! Charlie Theobald 1963 Plymouth 426 1968 Toyota Corona
  11. I watched the 1937 320 Cab B go through Scottsdale yesterday. It had a reserve and did not sell at $1.045. This morning I looked at the pictures in the listing. The question I have is the seat pattern correct? It looks more 1965 Chevy or Plymouth than 1937 MB. Charlie Theobald 1963 Plymouth 426 1968 Toyota Corona
  12. Hello Everybody; here are 2 photos of what was advertised as a 1927 Model K. The car was at Hershey in 1980. The interesting thing is that it had an Auburn engine installed. If memory serves the asking price was $6,000 to $7,000.
  13. Hello everybody. I am a newbie to the forum although I've been playing guest for about a year. This is a picture of the car that sat in Bob Platz's shop in the late Seventies when I worked there. I finally have an operational scanner so I scanned my 540K pictures. It was a '39 5 speed car. Somewhere I have the serial number. When I worked there it didn't run. There was a problem with the starter Bendix.
