39 4 dr listing observations

There is a 39 , 4 dr on ebay, ( I'm not advertising for him).

A few things struck me in looking at the pictures.

First, did Buick ever offer a single sidemount option in 39? This one has a driver side only sidemount spare.

Then, this I like, check the spare tire in the trunk... how do you drive a tire so long that it gets so nice and smoothly bald? And why is it so many old cars have a tire like this in the trunk?

Also, love that carb, with the stuffing from the seats all nicely packed in there.

Good for a chuckle.

39 Buick listing

I think the simple answer to yuor question is yes. Abut two years ago, there was a similar 39 for sale at Hershey, but a right side only car. Stamped into the body data plate was a large "K" which turned out to be the sales code for right-only side mount. It seems logical that Buick would offer a left side only code.
