AUBURN KRUSE AUCTION

Recommended Posts

Attended the Kruse/Ebay Labor Day weekend car auction in Auburn, Indiana and a red/red interior '91 Reatta Coupe with 173k miles offered at no reserve passed through the auction block and sold for $5,750.00 plus 6% buyer's premium. Car looked good on the revolving pedastel in front of an estimated crowd of about 2000 people at the time. Some putz got caught up in all the hoop la and hype of the auction. Sounds like a good place to take an old warn out Reatta and get top dollar for. Seller must have left with a big smile.

shocked.gif" border="0

Was also there;
I highly recommend it to everyone!! You have to see the Cord, Auburn, Duesenberg parade and show. One Dusie was flown in from Germany, looked right at home with 15 or so others. WOW
The red 1991 had the same 16 inch rims as my 1996 Riviera (hardly stock). Because of this obvious discrepancy I stayed far away. Who knows what also was tampered with. No 16 way no sun roof as I recall. Interior looked very nice. Hood paint pitted with rust spots, generally poor.
Robert
PS The British invasion in Stowe this weekend is a good show. http://www.britishinvasion.com/main.html

This was my 13th year at the auction. The red reatta was not very great. lots of stone chips on the front, steering wheel worn . Oh well, saw lots of other good looking autos. Some good buys on older buicks, check out old cars weekly in a few weeks they will list the results.
