Part information

I bought a bunch a parts from a man and one of the parts I can not find any information on. It is part# 458673. It is a manifold gasket set??. I am trying to find the value of it. There is 3 items in the package. Two have the numbers 6480211 and M3705 stamped on it. I think it is an intake gasket? The other has 440613 stamped on it. I think that is a carburator gasket?. The packaging says 1-458673-Gasket Set. It also says Studebaker-Packard Corporation parts & accessories Division on the packaging. My husband says it is an NOS part. So far it has been narrowed down to a 55-56 Packard part. I hope that someone out there has some information on this part. I can't seem to find anything on the internet.

Thanks,

Stacie <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Hi Stacie & welcome. Unfortunately, NOS gaskets don?t have a high value as a rule. Reproductions made of modern materials are pretty readily available, and most gaskets deteriorate with age. You might try eBay and see what someone is willng to pay.

Best,

John

Thank You to everyone for your help. I came into a marriage not knowing a thing about cars. Now that we have 2 show cars (Mustang & Lincoln)I have to start learning. We have several NOS parts that we bought for one price. One day I just might go through them and actually do something with them.

Again Thanks for your help.

So, when you buying a Packard? <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

BTW, There are some period Ford & Lincoln parts (Autolite, Dana, Bendix) in 50s Packards. Of course, also some GM (Delco, Bendix). Kinda interbred in the industry from major suppliers, it seems.
