Dog Catcher
Greetings:<span style="font-style: italic">(First post and first stupid question, I'm sure)</span>I recently came across a '53 Buick (2 door hardtop) that a local guy is selling. He says he bought it at an estate sale with no title. Is there any chance it getting a title for this thing myself? I live in NC. Any help would be appreciated. I've had no luck on the subject thus far in my searching.<span style="font-weight: bold">Dog Catcher</span>'69 Buick Skylark
V1CT0R
I'm not advertising but I am attaching a link for EBAY that a guy doesn't have a title but is getting one for his 51 Buick in ND. He might be able to assist you.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6144&item=4552842286&rd=1Good LuckVic
Guest sixpack2639
DogCatcher, Where did you buy the car? I know in Georgia anything over 15 years old does not need a title by Law. I recently bought another '65 Mustang in Georgia with only a bill of sale and had no problem at the SC DMV office getting a valid SC title for it. Check with your local DMV office and see if you need a title to transfer ownership. In SC they do a VIN check and if nothing bad comes up they will issue a title from a bill of sale on a vehicle over 20 years old. Carl
Dog Catcher
I bought the car in NC as well. I'll have to run by the DMV and see what they say to a hypothetical.
