I do agree with you, though that I thought there were a lot of interesting comments about the quality of the Packard engine no matter what the original purpose was in starting the thread. I don't see how anyone can deny that there was certainly quality developed throughout Packard's almost sixty years of production. There is an ad on the back cover of the latest Cormorant that answers the Mythical question by a Mr. Houston regarding the quality of the Packard 120. Packard certainly didn't scrimp on it's lower priced cars. They could have easily come out with a "LaSalle" or "Marquette", but they opted to call their lower priced product a Packard. The quality was there and they were not afraid to let people know that they were getting just as much for their buck as the executive buying a higher priced Packard.
