Noob signing in 1968 Eldo

Hey All ,

I`m finally pulling the finger out and getting back to my 1968 Eldo project.

I was wondering about a heat proof spacer between the carb and the intake .

Has anybody with one of these cars done this?

I concerned about hood clearance.
