Posted September 22, 2002 Share Posted September 22, 2002 If the cable broke off at the handle( under the dash) you can cut off the casing, don't cut the wire itself, then pull on the wire with pliers. If it broke off at the hood lock, the way is to get under the front end and try to reach the latch, you may have to remove a panel or two to get at it. The only other way would be to break the grille and reach in to pull on the release mechanism. (A bit expensive but a lot less work.) Charlie B.
