WCraigH
Here are some scans from a 1955 Packard Sales brochure that I picked up a few years ago at a swap meet. The way women dressed then and now are starkly different. Guest
Craig: I have the 55 full color sales brochue but I don't remember seeing the first one(gloves) or the last two(pw +ps) in that. What brochure did they come out of. If it is no longer available could you send me JPG's of those.

56clipper
Don't forget my favorite from '56 -- entitled "Ask the woman behind the man who owns one." That one's aimed at showing how women-friendly Packards were.

Guest
And I love those 50s drawings with the women all wearing gloves. I remember vividly my grandmother coming to town every summer on the train and wearing dove grey gloves. Actually, she usually just had one on, holding the other in that hand and fiddling with change and such with the bare hand. One of my favorite 50s Packard ads has a photo and boasts that male riders could keep their hats on because of the head room. And no I don't mean gimme hats. -SteveB in TX.
